Once upon a time.. a real life fairytale wedding in Mykonos! An outstanding Persian Wedding in Greece.

Ladan and Areyo met over two decades ago when they were both in high school. They shared mutual friends, but had very different lives.

“Although I thought Areyo was the nicest guy, he wasn't my type at all and the feeling was mutual for Areyo who only recognized me as a member of the opposite sex and nothing more,
as he only really cared about basketball and video games....!”

With a snap of a finger, high school was over and 14 years blurred past. Ladan and Areyo had a fate chance meeting at their gym parking lot.
A friendship sparked that fateful afternoon, and before Areyo knew it Ladan's incredible happiness and positivity infiltrated his heart.

As luck would have it, Ladan’s sister was planning an annual charity Gala with the theme ‘Once Upon A Time’.
Areyo jumped at the opportunity to make the night a stage for their fairy tale to end and the Happily Ever After to begin.
Areyo knew that Ladan would never in a million years guess that he would ever propose in such a public way.
The special evening piqued when the entire family gathered for a photo.
The photographer started counting to three and suddenly Areyo dropped to his knee!

Ladan and Areyo both agreed that their fairytale wedding should be at destination location and Greece was on their top bucket list of places to visit, and they both thought it would be a dream location to celebrate their love together with their closets friends and family.

Since Ladan and Areyo did not have a chance to visit Greece prior to their wedding they had to plan their wedding 6,819 miles away in San Diego, California and were very fortunate to get connected to ‘Poema Weddings & Events’ through a mutual friend to plan their perfect destination wedding in Greece.

After searching for destinations and venues to accommodate 80 plus people as they were expecting, they thought that the luxurious island of Mykonos would be the ideal place for them.
They booked the perfect venue at the beautiful ‘Royal Myconian Resort’ with the amazing backdrop of the Aegean Sea and the impeccable services of this high-end Greek island.

Every detail went without notice from the beautiful Persian Sofreh for the traditional Iranian ceremony, to the floral decoration, set up of reception room, wedding cake, music, Greek dancers, and of course the amazing show of fireworks. 

Ladan was wearing a stunning gown from the designer ‘Berta’, while Areyo was sporting ‘Hugo Boss’.

Love is a process of making something beautiful.. this time a unique Persian wedding in Mykonos and a real life fairytale for this wonderful couple.
